? 3 years of work, 1 Multidisciplinary BIM model. The ambition to work on a worldwide recognized icon of modern architecture in Rome.
A multidisciplinary Conservation Plan, led by the Department of Structural Engineering and Geotechnics of the University of Rome which has as researcher Arch. Maurizio Giodice, one of our BIM Manager. Developed entirely through what is called Heritage BIM (HBIM), this innovative BIM Building Information Modeling process applied to heritage – preparatory to a future redevelopment of the plant designed by Pier Luigi and Antonio Nervi, remained for years in a state of neglect and at risk of degradation.
The Mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, who chaired the Press Conference at the Campidoglio, expressed her appreciation by explaining how this “is a fundamental and preparatory step to the redevelopment of the sports facility. As an administration we have acted in recent years to lay the foundations so that not only the Stadium but the entire area of the Flaminio – Villaggio Olimpico area can see an urban regeneration in terms of offering sports, cultural, recreational services, to promote the revival and full usability by the citizens”.
