A single-grade design competition has been launched pursuant to art. 152 et seq. of Legislative Decree no. 231/2001. 50/2016 and later amendments and additions for the design and construction of a new multifunctional building that will house the new Istat headquarters, in the SDO district in Pietralata, Rome.
The intervention subject of the tender and consequent award is the project of technical and economic feasibility (Preliminary Project) of “The single headquarters of ISTAT – City of Statistics”, to be carried out in the SDO area of Pietralata and with the aim of accommodating the staff and activities present in the various Roman sites.
The idea is to create a building complex that will have to be designed providing environments marked by comfort at work to be achieved through the design of innovative types of space and the adoption of advanced technologies. A working environment aimed at maximum flexibility in view of possible future developments, the spaces will be used as single offices, open spaces or shared work spaces.
ISTAT, on the basis of the provisions of paragraph 13 of art. 23 of Legislative Decree no. 50 of April 18, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the “Code”), has identified objectives formulated with the aim of being implemented in a highly innovative information management process that uses the latest advances in methods and tools that find common expression in the terms Virtual Design Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
In addition to the normative references already indicated in the Announcement (notice code), to the NTC and to the EUROCODICS standards and in particular to the Code, the attention of the participants is drawn to the respect of the whole of the UNI 11337:2017 standards.
In addition to a prize of € 812,600.00 for the best design, if the winner is also the winner of the final project, the winner of the Competition must develop the criteria and contents of the IGO through the preparation of the Information Management Plan (BIM Execution Plan).
Correct coordination between designers and modeling that meets the parameters imposed by the Information Management Plan are activities that we usually carry out with our consulting and development services BIM, which remain the perfect means to participate in races like this one of international standing.
