On the Italian and global markets, coordinated 3D modelling technologies are increasingly in demand, and the petrochemical industry, the real driving force behind this methodology and a pioneer of 3D modelling, is starting to require technicians with professional skills in software such as Autodesk Revit and Plant 3D, Dialux, HAP-Hourly Analysis Program and MC4 Suite.

This year too, our company B1P Group, in partnership with Group ATP, ATprox and Zuccato Energia, took part in the Conference on Technologies for the Petrochemical Industry in Rome, presenting the latest technologies applied to completed projects and projects under way.

This time the star of our exhibition space was virtual reality (VR BIM), used to navigate in real time, as if it had already been built, an entire industrial plant, designed entirely within a multidisciplinary BIM process.

The applications of this technology are countless, from design review, to studying the positioning of control and emergency instruments, to training staff for equipment maintenance and for work in hazardous areas of the plant.

The companies and professionals who attended the Conference on Technologies for the Petrochemical Industry in Rome were pleasantly impressed by this new method of designing, checking and managing an industrial plant, aware that it can and must become the working standard in the years to come.

Come and find out how we managed to integrate more than 3 million “pieces” from various disciplines into a single BIM model, and how we managed to show them in VR BIM with the Oculus Rift.

Shall we discuss it
