Questions about our services

Who provides BIM services from survey to asset operation?

B1P Group follows the asset through every stage: BIM modelling from survey data, modelling in Revit and Civil 3D, BIM management, tender support, model checking, 4D and 5D construction, as-built and asset operation. Each stage has a page with deliverables, tools and reference standards.

Which software does B1P Group use?

Autodesk Revit for buildings and building services, Civil 3D for linear infrastructure, Navisworks for the federated model and clash detection, ReCap for point clouds. The common data environment is Autodesk Forma. Exchange takes place in IFC, version 4.3 for infrastructure, and in COBie for asset data.

Do you also work for contractors and component manufacturers?

Yes, as well as for designers and contracting authorities. For contractors B1P Group provides the pre-appointment BIM execution plan at tender, the construction model with time and cost, and the as-built model for handover; for component manufacturers it turns CAD models into Revit families that meet the network operators' information requirements.

Which service is the best place to start?

It depends on the stage the asset is at. For an existing building you start from the survey; for a tender, from the pre-appointment BIM execution plan; for a construction site already under way, from the construction model and the as-built. At the first meeting B1P Group indicates the entry stage and what will be delivered.
