BIM training

BIM teaching and courses under the client's brand for training providers, professional bodies, software vendors and companies, and classes under the B1P Group name for individuals and companies: Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, pyRevit, BIM management, common data environment, BIM management system, artificial intelligence in BIM.
At a glance

B1P Group's BIM training is mainly delivered for third parties: teaching and complete courses run under the brand of the training provider, professional body, software vendor or company that offers them to its members and employees. The topics cover the whole of BIM, from Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks and pyRevit to BIM management, the common data environment, the BIM management system (UNI/PdR 74 and UNI 11337-8), preparation for certification exams, model checking, construction and artificial intelligence in BIM, taught by professionals who work on live projects. We also run classes under the B1P Group name for individuals and companies.

Definition

What is training delivered for third parties?

BIM training for third parties (white-label training) is the service through which B1P Group prepares and delivers courses on behalf of another organisation, which offers them under its own name: a training provider adds them to its catalogue, a professional body offers them to its members with CPD credits, a software vendor offers them alongside its products, a company uses them for its own staff. B1P Group provides the trainers, programmes, teaching materials and exercises; the client provides the brand, the participants and, if it wishes, the platform.

The trainers are the same people who model, coordinate and check on B1P Group's projects: the training is built on real cases, tools in current use and stated limitations, not on manuals.

Formats
In the classroom at the client's premises, live online, or in-company on the client's projects; half-day, full-day or hourly modules; groups of up to eight for hands-on computer exercises; teaching materials licensed to the client
Attendance certificates and credits
Certificate of attendance under the client's brand; CPD credits through the training provider's agreements with professional bodies; courses eligible for funding from inter-professional training funds, with registers and documentation prepared by B1P Group

BIM training

Who is training for third parties designed for?

Training providers looking for BIM teaching for a complete catalogue without hiring trainers; professional bodies that need to offer their members courses with CPD credits, including long ones (a pathway of ten modules and more than a hundred hours is part of our standard programme); software vendors and resellers that want to offer training alongside their products; companies that need to train their own team in-house, on their own projects.

For the offices of professional bodies we offer a turnkey kit: programme, timetable, materials, trainers, registers and certificates of attendance, with the body's name on everything.

Do you run classes for individuals and companies?

Yes. Alongside training for third parties, we run classes under the B1P Group name for individual professionals and for companies, on the same topics and with the same trainers. For companies these are in-house corporate BIM courses, on the team's projects; for individuals they are group classes, from basic to advanced level.

Dates, venue, format and fee are agreed on request: tell us which course you are interested in and your starting level.

BIM training

Which topics do we cover?

All of BIM, in three families: tools (Revit in its three disciplines, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, pyRevit to automate Revit, common data environment), processes (BIM management, information management to UNI 11337 and ISO 19650, the organisation's BIM management system to UNI/PdR 74 and UNI 11337-8, reading the exchange information requirements and writing the pre-appointment and post-appointment BIM execution plans, model checking, BIM for construction and as-built) and artificial intelligence in BIM (what it does, with which tools, under which rules, the AI Act). Each topic has basic and advanced modules that can be combined into pathways; separately, there is preparation for personnel certification exams.

Five courses have their own page: Revit course, Civil 3D course, pyRevit course, BIM manager course and AI in BIM course. The others are put together from the catalogue on request.

How does training under the client's brand work?

The client chooses modules from the catalogue or asks for a tailored programme; B1P Group writes it, adapts it to the audience (professionals, contractors' technical staff, contracting authority officials, students) and delivers it with its own trainers in the chosen format. The materials carry the client's brand and are provided under a licence; registers, attendance records and certificates of attendance follow the training provider's rules, including those for funded training.

Fees follow our price list, per module or per hour, with monthly invoicing; the client sets the price for its own participants. Where the training provider is also a certification body, training and exams remain separate, with agreed boundaries to safeguard impartiality.

BIM training

Do we prepare candidates for UNI 11337-7 certification?

Yes. UNI 11337-7 defines the knowledge, skills and competences of the four BIM roles (BIM specialist, BIM coordinator, BIM manager, CDE manager), and personnel certification involves an exam. Our preparation courses cover the content of the standard, with exercises and mock exams. The exam is taken at How Strategy Solution, our partner assessment body (OdV), qualified by IQUA; the certificate is issued by IQUA. Training and exam remain separate paths.

Personnel certification is increasingly required in public-sector information requirements and in pre-appointment BIM execution plans; it is worth planning it together with BIM implementation in your organisation.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about training

Do you run courses for individual professionals?

Yes. We also run classes under the B1P Group name for individuals: tell us which course you are interested in and we will let you know dates, format and fee. Many of our modules also appear, under their own names, in the catalogues of the training providers and professional bodies we work with.

Do you award CPD credits?

Credits are awarded by the professional body that organises the course, under its own rules; B1P Group provides the programme, trainers and documentation needed for accreditation. Courses run under agreements with professional bodies include credits.

Can training be funded?

Yes, for companies, through the inter-professional training funds (fondi interprofessionali) and the digitalisation grant schemes currently open: B1P Group provides programmes, attendance registers and documentation in the format the fund requires; the application is handled by the training provider or the company's consultant.

Do you also train in English or Spanish?

Yes, on request, for the modules on tools and on information management; references to standards and regulations are adapted to the client's country.
