The EU BIM Task Group has produced its “Handbook for the introduction of Building Information Modelling by the European Public Sector”.

This handbook brings together the collective experience of European public policy makers from more than twenty countries to give clear answers to these questions:

  1. Why have governments taken action to support and encourage BIM?
  2. What benefits are expected?
  3. How can governments and public administrations provide guidance and work with private companies?
  4. Why are public and European guidelines essential?
  5. What is BIM? And what is the European definition?

The handbook aims to align the public and private sectors on the introduction of BIM in Europe, in order to stimulate growth and create open markets.
