In the continuous development of technology for design, management and maintenance, BIM (building information modelling) is by now an undisputed protagonist. This methodology makes it possible to ensure dialogue between all the disciplines that make up the AEC and MEP industries, providing concrete information about every element of the asset, and so making it possible to manage the construction site, the workshop and entire industrial plants, and to find and solve every kind of problem upstream, such as clashes between disciplines.
The latest revolution in design and project management is virtual reality (VR).
The concept of virtual reality is firmly linked to BIM, because through this methodology VR & BIM produce an intelligent 3D model which you can now “immerse yourself” in, even as a group, to view the project through 360 degrees, overcoming physical limits, in complete safety.
Among its wide range of VR & BIM services, B1P Group also offers virtual reality, thanks to our AR/VR Architect Lorenzo Pede, a client-facing professional who also handles BIM coordination and modelling, and to hardware and software equipment capable of supporting any type of project.
Using this technology, our BIM models can be walked through, queried and modified in real time. And since they are in effect intelligent models, every element in the project can still be queried to see all its information, parameters, tags and data sheets entered during modelling.
From any PC, smartphone or tablet, with no need for dedicated hardware or software, you will be able to analyse any detail of the building, navigating virtually through all of it or through a portion.
This file lets you take a virtual tour of the project, to see all the elements of the VR & BIM model, their overall dimensions, the full-scale dimensions of the spaces, and the building services.
These files are useful for model review, coordination between disciplines, checking compliance with current regulations, demonstrations, detecting any clashes and getting a full-scale check of the height of objects in the model, giving the client the chance to request any changes.
With this in mind, B1P and ATP are developing activities in the energy and infrastructure sector, working closely with EPC contractors and end users to optimise the entire project cycle.
