3 years of work, 1 multidisciplinary BIM model. The ambition of working on a building that is an icon of modern architecture in Rome, recognised worldwide.

A multidisciplinary Conservation Plan, led by the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering of SAPIENZA University of Rome, with architect Maurizio Giodice, one of our BIM managers, among its researchers. Developed entirely through what is known as Heritage BIM (HBIM), this innovative Building Information Modelling process applied to heritage lays the groundwork for a future refurbishment of the stadium designed by Pier Luigi and Antonio Nervi, which has been left abandoned for years and is at risk of decay.

The Mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, who chaired the press conference at the Campidoglio, expressed her appreciation, explaining that this “is a fundamental step and a prerequisite for the redevelopment of the sports facility. As an administration, over these years we have worked to lay the foundations so that not only the Stadium but the whole Flaminio and Olympic Village area can see urban regeneration in terms of sports, cultural and recreational services, to support its revival and its full use by the public”.
